Registered Nurse, Intensive Care UnitARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Day and Night Shift) in Mount Vernon, New York.Location: Mount Vernon, NYAssignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.Schedule/Shift: Shifts are 12 hours long and will rotate between day and night, with alternate weekend commitments and some holiday availability. On-call requirements are not applicable.Job Description: The Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The unit consists of 10 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2 in ICU settings and 1:4 in Telemetry settings. The role requires expertise in critical care, with an emphasis on monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes. The documentation system used is EPIC.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU.Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.Administer medications and manage IV therapies as required.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Document patient care and responses using the EPIC system.Required ExperienceMust have experience working in an intensive care setting and be skilled in critical care procedures.Certifications/LicensureCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications are required.Must hold a valid New York State nursing license.About ARMStaffingFounded in 2011 and a member of the ARGroup, LLC, ARMStaffing connects dedicated nurses and allied health professionals with the facilities that need them most.
