Senior Government Affairs Specialist

Senior Government Affairs Specialist Ocean Spray, a farmer‑owned cooperative, is seeking a Senior Government Affairs Specialist to monitor priority legislation at the state level, develop advocacy strategies, and manage the Ocean Spray Political Action Committee (OSPAC). Location & Schedule Hybrid role based at corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA. Mondays and Fridays remote. Responsibilities Track key legislation in priority policy areas at the state level and assess impacts on the business. Serve as primary contact for state‑specific, regional, and national trade associations and provide regular updates to the business. Collaborate with the Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy to develop advocacy strategies for significant state‑level legislation. Assist legal colleagues with compliance by providing advance notice of pending legislation. Monitor state and federal funding opportunities and collaborate with Sustainability and Grower Relations to apply for funds. Manage and prioritize OSPAC activities, track contributions, ensure FEC compliance, assist with solicitation campaigns and disbursements. Prepare OSPAC report filings to the FEC. Support federal (U.S. and Canada) and global advocacy efforts, including research, summaries, and tracking of key policy proposals. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, government, or a related field (required). At least 3 years of experience in government or politics. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of state‑level legislative processes and politics. Experience managing a political action committee, including FEC filings and solicitation campaigns.
