Wolverine Lawn Services is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Sidewalk Crew Members for the upcoming winter season. As a Sidewalk Crew Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community by keeping sidewalks, entrances, steps, and other pedestrian areas clear of snow and ice during winter weather events. Responsibilities
- Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, steps, and pedestrian areas using shovels, snow blowers, and power brooms
- Apply salt and other de-icing products as needed
- Operate small equipment safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with Crew Leads and Zone Leaders during each weather event
- Assist teammates in areas where equipment cannot reach
- Follow all safety and quality standards set by Wolverine Lawn Services
- Work safely in cold, snowy, and low-light conditions
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to report promptly when called
- Comfortable working outdoors in winter weather conditions
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical work for extended periods
- Team-oriented and safety-conscious
- Reliable transportation to the assigned reporting location
- Previous experience in snow removal, landscaping, or construction is helpful but not required
Compensation
$23–$28 per hour based on experience and role. This is a seasonal, on-call position with most shifts occurring overnight during third-shift hours. Shift lengths and weekly hours will vary depending on weather conditions, and extended shifts may be required during larger storms.
