Responsibilities Supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel. Adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation, and work related meetings. Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings. Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address the comprehensive needs of the patient. Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen. Adapt program and/or plan of care according to the needs of the individual patient. Promote a safe environment and enforce elimination of fire and safety hazards. Order supplies and equipment as necessary. Clean, maintain, identify, and report the need for repair of equipment. Put patient service first: ensure patients and families receive highest quality service. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients, including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures; synthesize information and interpret findings to establish diagnosis, identify impairments, determine predicted level of improvement and time required, identify precautions/contraindications and design plan of care. Develop appropriate treatment goals and methods, implement the PT treatment plan, and complete related documentation. Provide therapeutic techniques: therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques, integumentary repair and protection, use of electrotherapeutic, physical agent and mechanical modalities, health and wellness, education on chronic disease management, falls assessment and interventions, case management in the home and community. Design, fabricate, fit and/or apply adaptive devices, and train patients in their use. Select appropriate activities suited to the individual’s physical and mental capacity, intelligence level and interest. Instruct patients in skills and techniques required for participation in mobility activities and evaluate patient progress, attitudes, and behavior. Perform routine reexamination as needed to modify/progress plan of treatment. Incorporate health and wellness programming into treatment plans. Perform home and community mobility assessments and provide recommendations for safe mobility. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in state(s) of practice or proof of license eligibility. Master’s degree in Physical Therapy; or Master’s in a Physical Therapy related field plus a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience. Degree earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated to be U.S. equivalent. Valid driver’s license or reliable independent transportation to patients’ residences. Posted Salary Range USD $47.00 - $63.00 per hour. Bonus
