Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job Summary: The Operations Training Manager leads and directs a team of trainers to determine training objectives for employees by identifying skill and/or knowledge gaps. The Operations Training Manager is accountable for maintaining a safe working environment, developing training, and measuring the effectiveness of the training. Supervision may include the management of employees on more than one shift. Will work closely with and support the Quality, Manufacturing and Human Resources departments to identify training needs and resources. Develop, maintain, and update course curriculums, coordinate and assist in the development of training materials, and support delivery of training.Essential Functions: Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and business teams to identify goals and outcomes for learning experiences.Design and develop performance-focused training content for new and current operators.Develop learning tools, performance support mechanisms, practice activities, scenario-based learning.Develop training manuals and materials.Perform quality checks to ensure learning experience standards are met.Work directly with technical Operations teams, process owners and stakeholders to perform baseline on current content formats and processes.Identify variations and perform gap analysis to analyze/verify standard guidance needed in partnership with subject matter experts.Build mechanisms to manage specific process changes with stakeholder groupsEnsure manufacturing training programs, practices, and data are compliant with quality and audit requirements and meet the training needs of various production linesConfigure/maintain curriculum for various training groupsUpdate current content based on organizational needs and compliance requirementsDevelop and manage KPIs for training effectivenessAccountable for maintenance of training recordsLead the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) for the Burbank siteEstablish course structure for assigned projects within the LMSMaintain training records, assignments, user informationAny other task assigned by your supervisor or managementNon-Essential Functions: Leading large group trainings sessions Designing course curriculum Proficiency in Storyline or another LMS add-onMinimum Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in an Organizational Development or Training capacity required. (Preferred if individual has machining, fabrication, mechanical assembly & test experience.)Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communications skills, especially in a public or classroom setting. Proficiency in computer skills and standard business application software (i.e., Microsoft Office). Previous experience with LMS implementation and maintenance preferred. Conversant in Lean manufacturing processes and principles.Skills/Abilities: Ability to work effectively as part of an integrated team with members at different sites, establish and maintain relationships with internal customers at all levels. Ability to partner with others to develop and implement strategic plans related to future training. Ability to work independently and organize effectively.
