Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves providing compassionate and professional nursing care within a behavioral health setting. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring a safe, recovery-focused environment for persons served. Demonstrating strong leadership skills and adherence to organizational values is essential in this position.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Michigan nursing license, two years of behavioral health experience, pediatric experience, BLS certification, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility to work up to 48 hours including every other weekend
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in psychiatric or mental health settings, additional certifications related to behavioral health care are a plus
• Additional Information: The RN will assess patient needs, develop and revise care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers, and provide education to patients and their families. The role includes clinical leadership responsibilities, delegation, and promoting a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed environment. The RN will also ensure safety protocols are followed, contribute to process improvements, and support multidisciplinary team efforts to meet patient-centered goals. Training and competency in program-specific practices are required, with ongoing performance in demonstrating the organization's mission and values.
