Machine OperatorInwood, United States of America 19.0 USD/hour EmployeeThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating site specific equipment (injection molding, blow molding or extrusion) and meeting all production, quality and safety requirements.Efficient operation of machines and other associated equipment to successfully produce plastic products according to specificationGood troubleshooting skillsSet up, repair and troubleshoot equipment and processesTroubleshooting Skills related to mechanical, pneumatic, electrical or hydraulic issues (if applicable)Perform material handling procedures as requiredPerform and assist with mold and neck finish changes as requiredAssist and perform adjustments to meet quality specifications and/or cycle efficiencyComplete all required quality checks, critical systems checks, production records and logs accuratelyAssist in machine start-ups and shut-downsPerform minor repairs on all production equipment such as blow molder, extruder, conveyor systems, injection machines; material loading/unloading as required.Manage machine process efficiency initiatives, scrap minimization, materials conservation, inventory control and warehouse managementPerform preventative maintenance on related equipment as requiredManage machine efficiency and ensure all equipment is operationalFollow established quality proceduresComply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP Practices and Global Food Safety PracticesPerform other job-related duties as assignedUnderstanding and working knowledge of HDPE/PETKnowledge of hand toolsPrevious blow molding, Injection or Extrusion experience or related training (HDPE, PET) Industry experience is preferredWarehouse knowledge/able to drive forkliftWorking knowledge of computer systems, including MS Office, Excel and SAPAbility to work in a fast paced, lean environment with heat above 90 degreesAbility to sit, stand, bend, climb, crawl and walk on a varying basis throughout assigned work scheduleAbility to carry and/or maneuver up to 50 poundsGood communication and teambuilding skills
