Cybersecurity Information System Security Officer (ISSO)Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Cybersecurity Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to support critical Department of Defense (DoD) missions while working alongside a team of experienced cybersecurity professionals. As the ISSO, you will serve as the primary cybersecurity advisor for assigned information systems, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of mission-critical systems and data. You will provide guidance on cybersecurity and information assurance requirements, ensuring security controls are properly implemented and aligned with DoD policies, system architectures, and network configurations.Key Responsibilities The ISSO will:Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), cybersecurity, cyber engineering, and information assuranceProvide technical guidance and actionable recommendations to senior leadership to support cybersecurity objectives and mission successCommunicate complex technical and security concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersIdentify cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues, implementing proactive solutions to minimize operational impactSupport the implementation, assessment, and maintenance of RMF security controls throughout the system lifecycleCollaborate with program management, engineering, and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DoD security policies and mission requirementsSupport government and industry program activities, including occasional travel to customer and contractor locations as requiredWork effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while contributing to continuous process improvement and mission successSkills and Experience The ISSO must have:Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility; must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph as a condition of employment10+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or information systems security4+ years of experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments within the past five years1+ year of experience implementing and supporting DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls, cybersecurity policies, and compliance requirementsRelevant professional experience and industry certifications may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, as applicableEducation and Certifications The ISSO must meet the following: RequiredMaster's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, MIS, Engineering, or a related fieldSecurityX / CASP+, equivalent or higher to meet DoDM 8140.03BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(k)PTOPaid Parental LeaveTuition reimbursementPaid federal holidaysSecurity Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen.
