This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 18:00-06:30

Weekend Hours: Every other weekend/as needed.

Call Requirements: As needed.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical respiratory care to patients of all ages, utilizing advanced medical techniques and equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires working independently and effectively, particularly in high-stress environments like the emergency room and critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across all age groups.
• Assist in emergency medical situations and critical care scenarios.
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment and maintain appropriate records in electronic health systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in ER and critical care settings.
• Current and valid RRT certification required.
• All required certifications must be obtained prior to starting, including ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS.
