Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Must have NY License in hand prior to submittal Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: - 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery - Ability to provide care for high-risk antepartum patients - Experience in triaging obstetrical patients Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in LDRP settings with a focus on high-risk antepartum care. Candidates must possess a current NY Nursing License prior to submittal. Experience with the following skills is essential: maintaining central lines, anticoagulation therapy, and managing insulin and magnesium sulfate drips. Nurses will be expected to support high-risk deliveries, assist with C-sections, and recover patients post-operatively. Candidates should also be proficient in performing sterile vaginal exams, providing discharge teaching, and conducting newborn assessments. Knowledge of fetal heart rate interpretation and treatment of abnormal patterns is crucial. Nurses will be responsible for lactation support and postpartum care, including fundal and perineal assessments. The ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes is required. Candidates must have knowledge and experience in telemetry assessments related to cardiac rhythm interpretation. This role requires a commitment to compliance with health guidelines and safety protocols.
