Deerfield Community School has an opening for a full‑time custodian position to start ASAP. Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Custodian Date Posted: 10/1/2025 Location: Deerfield Community School Date Available: ASAP Under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities and Principal, you will perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintain equipment in functional condition; and provide cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary, and perform related duties and general maintenance work as required. Essential Functions The responsibilities will include assisting the day/evening custodian with cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting, and other duties as needed to maintain safe, healthy, and pristine conditions for staff and students. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to follow oral or written work orders from supervisor Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work Ability to perform work according to standard procedures and schedule set forth by supervisor Qualifications Profile Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
