Overview

The Millwright works under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor to make sure equipment in their assigned area is kept in top running condition. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing maintenance services through the refinery.
• Performing mechanical trouble shooting and repairs.
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance services, including troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding/burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
• Performing cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.
• Working with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.
• Being assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include: refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage and raw sugar maintenance.
• Reliable and predictable in-person attendance.
• Able to work overtime on a daily and weekly basis.

Job Requirements

Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis. Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others. Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc. Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment. Education and/or experience at least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization. Hourly rate: $40.99.
