Materials Designer

Job Title: Materials Designer Location: Los Angeles, California (Hybrid) Job Summary: We are focused on advancing the boundaries of design by incorporating cutting‑edge materials into various projects. Our team thrives on artistic prowess and technological expertise to create innovations that enhance aesthetics and functionality in product design. Responsibilities Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and functional specifications. Utilize design software to create and refine material concepts, developing prototypes to validate appearance and texture. Collaborate closely with color scientists and texture specialists to ensure precise color matching and texture replication. Evaluate materials based on properties, durability, and aesthetic qualities, recommending sustainable options that meet project goals. Required Highly organized with fluency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Advanced knowledge of footwear and apparel materials design for performance and lifestyle. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, with the ability to maintain material databases across multiple interfaces. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years of directly relevant work experience.
