Land Development Project Manager

We are focused on providing exceptional customer service by committing our time, energy and professionalism to complete projects that enhance the quality of life, improve infrastructure and offer positive economic impacts to improve the communities where we serve, live and work.ResponsibilitiesDevelop construction documents for site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Construction documents sets include site plan, grading and drainage, utility, erosion control, plan sheets and applicable detailsCoordinate with the project team to develop and complete projects on time and on budgetComplete plan review comments from internal quality control process and from the city review processAssist the Project Engineer and Landscape Architects, and Project Managers in completing technical specificationsPrepare written communications, applications, and reportsReview and implement municipal zoning ordinances, geotechnical reports, as well as state and federal codes to ensure project complianceWork in partnership with Project Managers and staff to identify opportunities and constraints for development sites, assist in municipal meetings and submittals, and complete plan revisions as needed to obtain project approvalPrepare for, attend and may lead meetings with internal and external clientsQualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture2+ years of qualifying civil engineering design experience.Knowledge of regulations, policies, and proceduresThorough understanding of site planning and land developmentAutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D modeling including grading plansKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of engineering and landscape architectureExercising independent judgmentInitiativeCreativityProblem Solving and Critical Thinking skillsTime Management and PlanningStrong communication, writing, technical and analytical skillsMicrosoft OfficeCandidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.PreferredInternship in Civil Engineering or Landscape ArchitectureTravelMost travel is limited to short or day trips to visit jobsites, meet clients, etc. Overnight trips are not generally required.MCE offers an excellent employee benefits package including:Competitive compensation with yearly performance reviews.401(k) (Traditional & Roth plans) with a guaranteed employer match of 100% up to the first 3% and 50% on the next 2% (eligibility at beginning of the quarter following 3 months' employment)PTO (Paid Time Off) & 9 Paid HolidaysTiered Health, Vision & Dental Insurance Options (eligibility after 30 days)Short-Term Disability Insurance (MCE self-insured)Long-Term Disability Insurance (Employer paid)Life Insurance and AD&D InsuranceFlexible Spending Account & Limited Flexible Spending AccountHSA Savings AccountAdditional Optional Insurances Available
