Job Summary MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse Registered Nurse (RN) for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) assignment in Evanston, Illinois. Position Details Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/09/2026 Duration: 6 weeks Hours: 36 per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Qualifications At least 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care NICU setting Active RN license BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications Degree from an accredited nursing program Additional requirements as determined by the client facility (if any) Duties and Responsibilities The RN will demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking, working under supervision, to provide specialized care for newborns who require close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions. Provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals in the NICU. Assist in developing and implementing a care plan for high‑risk newborns requiring high‑technology care.
