Dietetic Technician

Nutritional Care Duties
Provide nutrition care in accordance with established guidelines and policy.
Review patient medical charts for pertinent information related to patient nutritional status and lifestyle.
Record screening data, nutrition assessments and plans.
Review diet orders and update food preferences and supplements in computerized programs.
Communicate with dietitian regarding diet instructions.
Evaluate accuracy of tray assembly and nourishment planning procedures.
Review menus and makes adjustments as necessary.
Communicate with all members of the Nutritional Care Team, orally or via e-mail, regarding all information relative to patient care and meal service.
