Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Durant Road Animal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team. Compensation: $20.00 - $28.00 / hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Provide hands-on technical support in exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites Oversee training and continued education for staff on diagnostics, and treatment protocols. Manage technician scheduling, performance evaluations, and assist with hiring decisions. Collaborate with veterinarians and leadership to implement hospital protocols. Maintain inventory, medical equipment, and controlled substance logs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support client education and communication Qualifications: Active CVT, RVT, LVT license a plus Minimum 3 years of clinical experience Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in anesthesia, radiology, laboratory procedures, and surgical prep/monitoring. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed.
