What You'll Do

• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the OR setting.
• Assist in preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative processes and post-op care as needed.
• Support unit goals by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.

What You Need

• Required: Active RN license in Louisiana, BLS from American Heart Association, experience with surgical procedures, or recent ICU/acute care experience, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Preferred: Previous OR nurse experience, leadership or supervisory skills, proficiency with hospital computer systems
