CDL Delivery Driver - 4 Day Work Week Available

CDL Delivery DriverThe Delivery Driver (with CDL) is responsible for the safe and timely delivery and service of all products sold within assigned route and the operation of a commercial motor vehicle to reach all customer locations. The Delivery Driver must understand all company policies and procedures. Delivery Drivers generally operate as one-person units. This is a salary exempt position that is not subject to overtime calculations and can average 40-50 hours per week. For DOT tracking purposes, the employee reports hours in the time & attendance system. This position reports directly to the Delivery Manager.Primary Objectives & Essential Functions:Vehicle & DOT Requirements Fill out pre & post trips each dayCheck load security, verify inventory, check equipment including pallet jacks and sledsFollow safety policies and proceduresFollow check-in and check-out policies and proceduresMaintain clean truck and trailerDelivery Functions Follow route sequenceDeliver and rotate productPick up empties, damages, and OOC productCommunicate delivery issues with Sales RepExecute invoice and payment transaction proceduresFollow policy and procedure for refusal/undelivered stopsFollow end of day procedures including proving A/R, inventory, handling out of date product, etc.Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, charges are correct, and customer is satisfiedLoad Detail Responsibilities Level product during dayMinimize BreakageThe Delivery Driver assumes other responsibilities as assigned by Delivery Manager, Delivery Assistants, VPs, Branch Manager, and ownership. In addition, the exposure while in customer locations cannot be projected. These conditions may vary, and the employee will receive adequate training to recognize and avoid hazards that cannot be described as expected. Noise levels will range from quiet to loud.
