Job Description
LV Medical Associate PC is a Flushing, NY-based PHYSICAL MEDICINE & REHABILITATION medical office that provides high quality care to help patients in recovery and restore their physical functions. We are currently seeking a part-time medical receptionist to join our team!
In this role you will:
- Greet patients and visitors, maintain appointment schedules
- Check patients in and out, including the collection and verification of necessary information and documentation
- Register patients according to established protocols
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance
- Obtain insurance authorization for procedures and physical therapy sessions
- Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information
- Manage telephone and electronic communications
- Collect co-pays and payments
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English/Chinese (Mandarin)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reception or customer service experience
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Typing or computer knowledge
Recommended:
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) strongly preferred
- College degree preferred
- Must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
