Be the First Step Toward Healing as an Assessment Clinician Supporting Access to Mental Health Care
As an Assessment Clinician ( Internal title: Client Access Specialist ) youll play a vital role in helping individuals access the care they need right when they need it. Youll provide timely compassionate assessments and guide clients into services that support their wellness and recovery goals. This is a high-impact role for someone who values access equity and connection in behavioral healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments for individuals accessing care.
- Determine service needs and coordinate client enrollments across multiple programs.
- Provide brief therapy and develop treatment plans where applicable.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Support the Open Access process by guiding referral flow and client engagement.
- Maintain accurate timely documentation per agency and state standards.
- Provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed services to diverse populations.
- Respond to walk-in behavioral health crises.
Requirements Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Masters degree in counseling social work or psychology required
- PLPC PLMFT or LMSW in Missouri required
- LPC LMFT or LCSW in Missouri preferred
- At least three (3) years experience preferred
- Working knowledge of DSM-5 required
