Orthopedic Surgery Physician Requirements

At least 1 year of orthopedic surgery experience

Board certification or board eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery; board certification is required by the practice setting

Active Arizona medical license

Current DEA registration

NPDB report and case logs dated at least 2 years old

Clinical expertise in arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and joint revision or repair

Experience with hip, knee, shoulder, and other applicable joint procedures

Additional experience in hand surgery, tendon repair, peripheral nerve surgery, spinal procedures, or percutaneous disc surgery is preferred

Orthopedic Surgery Physician Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with a broad range of orthopedic conditions

Perform arthroscopic procedures and total joint replacements, including hip, knee, and other joint replacements

Perform joint revisions and repairs involving the shoulder, hip, knee, and other joints

Provide surgical consultation, preoperative evaluation, postoperative management, and follow-up care

Maintain accurate medical records, procedure documentation, and case logs

Collaborate with the clinical team to support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care
