Nurse RN - LDRP/GYN | North Campus | FT Nights

Overview Primarily provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, surgical, and newborn patients. Additionally, may care for GYN and non-OB/GYN patients when not working in the Labor and Delivery setting and in times of peak overflow from other units. Qualifications Required Education: Associate's degree. Specific coursework: graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN from an accredited school within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. New hires or transfers between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must follow the conditions in their offer letter and job description signed upon hire or transfer. Current employees hired or transferred prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered. Preferred Education: BSN. Necessary Skills: Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team. Demonstrates ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care delivery. Required Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida. BLS from the American Heart Association. Within 6 months of hire or transfer: ACLS through the American Heart Association. Within 6 months of hire or transfer: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). STABLE (sugar, temperature, airway, blood pressure, lab work, emotional support). Effective 07/01/2018: all current employees required to have STABLE by 07/01/2019. New hires and transfers required to have STABLE within 6 months of hire or transfer. Required Experience: Less than one (1) year for New Nurse Fellowship Program ONLY; 1–2 years of med/surg or related experience. Preferred Licensure/Certifications None.
