Oncology Med/Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

Shift: NIGHTS - 12HR: 7P-7A / 7A-7P ROTATION. Available for 36 and 48 hours per week. Requires 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must be available to work at least 1 holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Med/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of acute medical-surgical and tele-health nursing, with specific experience in oncology interventions. You will work closely with patients suffering from conditions including osteomyelitis, chemotherapy-related issues, small bowel obstruction (SBO), sepsis, and TRAM flaps.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the oncology Med/Tele unit.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures and health maintenance.
• Remain flexible to float to other units as needed based on operational requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute med/surg/tele and oncology nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
