Job Description
To operate and oversee all aspects of the Baler, Shredder, and Sorting area. Sort good product from damaged product. Feed materials into shredder for recycling.
Qualifications:
- The following is intended to be used as a general guideline and checklist for evaluating and qualifying employees as a Baler/Sorter.
Physically Capable:
- Lifting 30 -50 pounds occasionally
- Pushing and pulling occasionally
- Standing for long periods
- Bending frequently
- Twisting and kneeling frequently
- Single grasping frequently
Safety:
- Wear PPE
- Knowledge of all machine controls and respective functions
- Demonstrate safe work habits and good housekeeping practices
- Work in a safe and productive manner
- Identify and report work hazards
Ability to read and understand production orders:
- Read and understand waste ticket
- Read and understand bale ticket
- Identify bad board from good board
- Product routing through plant
