Human Resources Intern (Federal Work-Study)

Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, this position provides administrative support for the office, ongoing initiatives, and special projects. Duties and Responsibilities Support the talent acquisition and recruitment efforts, including posting positions, reviewing candidates, and navigating the hiring process. Review processes and procedures, benchmark best practices, and recommend practical changes to improve the employee experience. Assist with updating personnel files. Assist with ongoing initiatives and special projects, as assigned. This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards. Supervision Received: Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Supervision Given: None Hourly Rate: $15 per hour Location: Indianapolis, Indiana Required Qualifications Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need. Must be a currently enrolled, degree-seeking student at Ivy Tech Community College to be eligible for this position. Must maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must work well in a team environment and exercise sound problem-solving skills. Must possess the ability to learn and use Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess strong customer service skills.
