Histology Laboratory Supervisor Fairfax, VA, United States Job Type: Full time day shift Mon‑Fri, 8:00am‑4:30pm Inova Central Lab is looking for a dedicated Histology Laboratory Supervisor to join their team. Job Responsibilities Adhere to technical and scientific standards while serving as a clinical/technical resource and coordinating quality activities. Design team member schedules and assignments to ensure proper and timely completion of work, health/safety of team members, and overall efficient operation of the section. Assist in developing budget and financial targets and maintain personal/professional development to ensure effective job performance and contribute to organizational effectiveness. Oversee and assist team members in all areas of the Histology Laboratory, ensuring the team meets key deliverables and quality standards, addressing and resolving challenges, managing and tracking performance, and assisting in time management and scheduling; escalates issues to senior leaders as needed. Work with the team to provide training in all areas of the histology laboratory; ensure initial, semiannual, and annual competencies are completed. Minimum Qualifications Education : Associate's degree in Chemical, Biological, or Medical Lab Sciences; or associate's degree with 6 credit hours in chemistry, 6 credit hours in biology, and an additional 12 credit hours including any combination of chemistry, biology, or medical technology. In combination with a NAACLS approved HT or HTL program or 3 months training in the histology laboratory. Years of Experience : 5 years of experience and knowledge of Histology Laboratory practices, technical skills, advanced troubleshooting skills, strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.
