Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist

Location: Lubbock, TX

Position Type: Contract (26 Weeks)

Pay Rate: $54–$64.50/hour

Shift & Schedule:

• 7 On / 7 Off

• Night Shift

• 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• 30–40 hours per week

• Every other weekend

• Block schedule

• No on-call

• Transition to Day Shift later in the assignment

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join a busy hospital pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience, pediatric pharmacy exposure, and strong clinical judgment to support safe and effective medication management.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.

• Prepare, dispense, and monitor medications in accordance with hospital policies.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

• Provide medication counseling and clinical recommendations.

• Monitor for drug interactions, adverse effects, and therapeutic outcomes.

• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations.

• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.

• Participate in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Active Texas Pharmacist License

• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required

• Pediatric pharmacy experience required

• Retail-only pharmacy experience will not be considered

• Strong clinical judgment and medication management skills
