Fairbury Public Schools is seeking a School Psychologist to support the academic, social, behavioral, and emotional success of our 900+ PK-12 students. Our mission is to engage and empower students through meaningful relationships and innovative teaching in a progressive, 1:1 technology district. Essential Responsibilities
- Assessment & Evaluation: Administer and interpret psycho-educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special services under Nebraska Rule 51.
- MTSS Leadership: Facilitate problem-solving through the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) at district, building, and individual student levels.
- IEP/MDT Participation: Lead Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and collaborate with IEP teams to design effective intervention strategies.
- Consultation: Serve as a resource for teachers, parents, and administrators regarding child development, mental health, and classroom management.
- Direct Support: Provide individual and group counseling for students verified with behavioral or emotional needs.
- Certification: Must hold (or be eligible for) a valid Nebraska Department of Education certificate with a K-12 School Psychologist Field Endorsement .
- Supervised Internship: A minimum of 1,200 clock hours is required.
- School Setting Requirement: At least 600 of those hours must be completed within a school setting.
- Supervision: The internship must be supervised by a standard institution of higher education.
- Competitive Salary: Placement on the district scale with full credit granted for previous experience in accredited schools.
