Marketing - Graphic Designer, $25.00/hour

Job Title and Status Graphic Designer - Part Time. $25/hour, Non-Exempt, Part Time – 20-25 hours/week. Supervisor Marketing Manager. Overview Contributes to the success of Honest Weight Food Co-op by assisting and collaborating with the in‑house design team, Marketing & Digital Coordinator, and Marketing Manager in the production and design of print, signage, website and social media elements. Job Responsibilities Design print newspaper, magazine ads and various collateral materials. Design signage (promotional, shelf level, institutional, digital menu boards). Design/produce as needed for website, email campaigns, and social media. Assist with production/design of in‑store weekly/bi‑weekly promotions (flyers, signs, handouts). Produce and/or design content for HWFC’s Coop Scoop bi‑monthly magazine. Re‑purpose and refresh existing graphics and materials. Actively and optimistically participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions. Assist in creation and ordering of on‑brand in‑store materials and supplies (stickers, business cards, stationery, letterhead, etc.). Assist with Education, Outreach and Membership materials as needed (posters, brochures, register screens, handouts). Minimum Qualifications Solid understanding of brand guidelines. Basic advertising and marketing principles. Experience designing print and digital in a quick‑turnaround, deadline‑driven environment. Familiarity with both Mac and PC platforms. Above‑average proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proven working knowledge of various social media platforms and design needs. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to consistently and safely lift and carry up to 35 lbs and push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. Preferred Qualifications Education and/or background in graphic design, visual arts, communications or related field (any/all on‑the‑job work experience will be considered). Experienced and comfortable collaborating and working with internal and external teams. Previous experience with website Content Management Systems. Basic knowledge of website design and familiarity with blogs. Above‑average digital photography and video skills. Additional Beneficial Qualifications Understanding of food retail and the health food industry. Illustration and hand‑lettering skills are a plus. Ability to tweak, re‑work existing copy and/or write basic headline copy for print and social as needed. Above‑average experience with social media (planning, measuring, strengths and weaknesses, ad buying). Experience with animation and video production (creation, content, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut).
