Responsibilities

A successful OB hospitalist program should be a collaboration among your hospital's staff and affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians and subspecialists. Our experienced, board-eligible or board‑certified OB Hospitalists provide OB triage, admissions, inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients. This cost‑effective, cohesive approach improves clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

• Real‑time communication with office physicians of triage visits, new issues, and deliveries

• Multidisciplinary OB critical care.
• 24‑hour in house coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
• Management of OB/GYN emergency‑department patients.
• Athens, Ohio is located in the Eastern part of the state, flanking Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh is just over the state line) and Northern West Virginia.
• Less than 2 hours East of Columbus, Ohio and 2 hours South of Cleveland, Ohio

Qualifications

• Must be Board Certified OGYN
• Must have a minimum of 1 year recent clinical experience
• Prefer active Ohio license or ability to obtain via IMLC compact
• Pediatrix does provide assistance in obtaining state Medical License and DEA, if needed

Benefits and Compensation

Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.

We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
