Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for home health services. This position requires expertise in treating adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and trauma events.

Job Details

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Types of Cases Required: Adults and Geriatrics
Number of Patients: 8-12 assigned
First-timers Accepted: Yes
Weekend Requirements: No
Location: Within 35 miles of the facility (no locals within 100 miles)

Qualifications

Current National Certifications Required: MOAB, NBCOT, New Mexico Occupational Therapy License
BLS Certification Required
Previous charge experience preferred but not necessary
1-2 years of related experience required

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
Provide home health care services focusing on rehabilitation and recovery
Adapt treatment techniques using various adaptive equipment
Educate patients and families on care plans and home management strategies
Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner charting system
Travel to assigned patient locations within specified territory

Work Environment

This position involves providing care in patients' homes, and as such requires effective communication and interpersonal skills. Safety is a priority, and clinicians will be equipped with a Canopy emergency response device for added security while on duty.

Additional Information

RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days requires approval
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Mileage reimbursement offered at the federal IRS standard rate
