Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery Department Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Silverdale, Washington. This role involves providing bedside care in a Birthing Center and Mother Baby unit, focusing on high-risk antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

• Location: Silverdale, Washington
• Schedule: Night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license; BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery; candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered if they have multiple prior travel assignments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum (LDRP); ability to attend deliveries and circulate independently during cesarean sections; comfort with assisting in catching and transitioning babies; experience with high-risk obstetric patients including preeclampsia, diabetic pregnancies, and social/psych issues.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the Mother Baby and Postpartum units.
• Additional Information: The unit supports approximately 150-180 births per month, with a variety of high-risk obstetric cases. The RN will work in a fast-paced environment with support from in-house OB/GYN/hospitalist, anesthesia providers, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs), and in-house telemonitoring systems. Orientation includes an 8-hour compliance session and 8 hours of Epic EMR training, followed by 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation. The department operates with a charge nurse, surgical tech on duty 24/7, and patient care assistants.
