Occupational Therapist - PRN

Overview Join the Cleveland Clinic team as an Occupational Therapist providing patient-first healthcare. The role includes rehab for patients with neurological disorders, hand therapy, and coordination of care within a flexible PRN schedule. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits impacting independent living skills. Assess patient ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills. Design and implement the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment. Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress. Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed; seek consultation as necessary. Educate patients and family/caregivers about deficits and treatment options. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Oversee care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to licensing laws and OT practice standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Preferred Qualifications Experience in a clinical area Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or CHT eligible Physical Requirements Ability to walk without an assistive device and maintain balance to support patient safety. Ability to meet physical demands at a heavy level as defined by standard references. Ability to lift and reach with arms to assist with therapeutic treatment. Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to palpate muscle tension or monitor patient pulse. Visual acuity to observe gross and fine motor movements and read patient monitors. Clear speech to instruct patients and families; conversational hearing to understand patient descriptions. Personal Protective Equipment Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Pay Range Minimum hourly: $50.00 Maximum hourly: $50.00 The pay range displayed reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation is determined based on work history, experience, skill set, and education.
