Position Overview In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for a specific product family. Quoting and estimating customer requests for a specific product family. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to support quoting, pricing, and profitability goals. This is a newly created position. Key Responsibilities Analyze customer specifications, drawings, blueprints, and requirements to determine scope of work Develop detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, tooling, overhead, and run time Work closely with Engineering to determine manufacturability Partner with Manufacturing Leads, Supervisors, Machinists, Customer Service, Regional Sales Managers, Estimating, and Purchasing teams to develop, implement, and maintain various manufacturing plans, bills of materials, and work instructions Communicate internally and externally in a professional manner through email and phone Review and track variances against standards on various jobs and update standards where necessary Assist with manufacturing planning for specific product family Update ERP system with new/revised data Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or associate’s degree with related manufacturing experience Technical aptitude Strong understanding of manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret blueprints Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong mathematical, analytical and problem‑solving skills Preferred: Experience with ERP software Physical Requirements Required: Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Picking, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions Close visual accuracy Subject to noise, hazards, and oils when in production Lift up to 35 lbs Why Work at Carr Lane Manufacturing?
