Maintenance Technician – Food ManufacturingWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production and packaging operations in a food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical and basic electrical experience, understands food-grade environments, and can respond quickly to minimize downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on food processing and packaging equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issuesMaintain and repair conveyors, fillers, sealers, mixers, ovens, and packaging machineryRespond to equipment breakdowns and production support callsPerform machine setups, changeovers, and adjustmentsConduct equipment inspections to ensure reliability and safetyRead and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsDocument maintenance activities using CMMS or work order systemsFollow GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirementsAdhere to all safety policies, including lockout/tagout proceduresQualifications2–5+ years of maintenance experience in a food, beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing environmentStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsBasic electrical knowledge (motors, sensors, wiring, controls)Experience with conveyors and packaging machineryAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work off-shifts, weekends, or on-call as neededPreferred ExperienceExperience with high-speed packaging linesPneumatic and hydraulic system knowledgePLC troubleshooting exposure (not programming-heavy)Familiarity with FDA-regulated or GMP environmentsWelding or fabrication experience
