Within the Pharmacy team—integrated as Inpatient Pharmacy and Pharmacy Services—the Acute Care Pharmacy Manager will oversee daily operations, clinical services, safe sterile compounding, and continuous quality improvement for a tightly connected rural hospital community; this Inpatient Pharmacy Manager role supports a setting defined by a prominent 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving the North Country. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy and partnering with the CNO, medical staff, and Quality leadership, the Acute Care Pharmacy Manager leads pharmacists and technicians while collaborating closely with friendly nurses and a diverse team including respiratory therapy, case management, rehab specialists, and social work; as an Inpatient Pharmacy Manager, key responsibilities include clinical rounding, antimicrobial stewardship participation, policy and formulary management, USP cleanroom oversight, regulatory readiness, 340B optimization, medication safety initiatives, pharmacy automation and inventory stewardship, staff education, performance reviews, scheduling, and onboarding—empowering a Manager Hospital Pharmacy to drive measurable outcomes across patient safety, throughput, and experience.
