Description

• Assess individuals of all ages - pediatric, adult, and geriatric - employing standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate needs and long-term communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to establish cohesive care protocols.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure progress continues beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations, ensuring seamless care throughout every stage of treatment.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through education and peer interaction to remain abreast of industry innovations.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferably hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your first month of employment.
