Mammography Technologist

Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team at our Eagan Clinic! This is a .6 FTE (48 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the day shift, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Determines and revises priorities for diagnostic testing
• Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs
• Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team.
• Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures.
• Adheres to radiologic diagnostic testing procedures
• Documents compliance with regulatory agency requirement
• Follows infection control guidelines
• Adheres to safety protocols
• Ensures imaging procedures meet all standards and protocols
• Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members
• Responds appropriately to emergent situations.
• Evaluates imagine results for diagnostic quality
• Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances
• Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution
• Demonstrating ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural difference of population served.

Required Qualifications

• Digital mammography experience
• ARRT (R) (M)
• Minimum of one year of related experience in General Diagnostic Breast Imaging
• 1 year of experience working with patients in a capacity including frequent interactions and an understanding age-life cycle need
