Emergency Department Technician I (Full time)

Emergency Department Technician – Full Time Night Shift Location: Woodbridge, VA Shift Hours: 7:00 am–7:00 pm (Night Shift) Weekly Hours: 36 hours Overview Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients. Performs patient procedures and treatments under the supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse. Training & Certifications De‑escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. BLS certification required within 90 days of hire. Qualifications High School Graduate or Equivalent. BLS certification within 90 days of hire. New incumbents must have at least one of the following: EMT‑B with state or national certification at time of hire. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School (qualified MMAC candidates). Current student enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester. Candidates with prior employment in Sentara ED tech code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the above criteria. Previous clinical experience preferred.
