Description

• Conduct assessments on patients spanning across children, adults, and the elderly, employing standardized evaluation tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment approaches aimed at achieving specific short-term objectives and addressing broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Facilitate one-on-one speech therapy sessions concentrated on communication aspects including language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure an integrated care strategy.
• Educate patients and their families to support progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless continuum of care throughout every step of treatment.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Stay engaged with the latest developments in the realm of speech-language pathology through ongoing education and peer support.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Possession of state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
