Structural/Civil/Marine Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager

Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a well‑rounded, highly motivated engineer who is already a Project Manager, or ready to become one, to join our Holmdel, NJ Structural team, working on civil, marine, and amusement design projects. Our structural group is growing, and we need a forward‑thinking engineer, eager to learn and grow. Our work is very hands‑on and diverse. The work scope ranges from proposal preparation to final design and construction support services. At Colliers Engineering & Design we build careers. Responsibilities Prepare engineering designs and/or technical data. Perform and oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects. Manage the preparation of construction documents (drawings, specifications, estimates, etc.). Perform structural inspection and prepare reports, letters, etc. Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development. Prepare effective work plans and man‑hour budgets. Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects. Strive to achieve predetermined goals for profit, productivity targets, and schedule of deliverables. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required. 3+ years of structural engineering experience is required. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required; PE license is preferred. Good working knowledge of steel, concrete, timber design and a familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.). Competent or proficient in AutoCAD. Proficient with structural design software (STAAD, Enercalc, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively communicate. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job‑related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
