Daily Pay Range: $33 - $35 Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment. Benefits: Paid training hours and professional development opportunities (variable by state) Weekly paychecks via direct deposit Hired as a W-2 employee so no worrying about withholding your own taxes Reimbursement for expenses related to state and federal background checks 401k enrollment after meeting eligibility requirements Referral Program: Refer friends to sub with Scoot – after they work 10 shifts, you both earn $100 gift cards Role Requirements: Valid RBT Certification Experience in behavioral therapy and working with students with developmental disabilities At least 1 year experience working with children/adults with special needs; OR At least 1 year in a classroom /education setting Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or 48+ college credits Three References with one by a previous direct supervisor State and federal background checks. TB risk assessment or test You’ll stand out if you have: Any SpEd-specific training or applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience Passion for education and putting students first An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be What You’ll Do: Work closely with students, either 1:1 or across entire classrooms Assist various moderate to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment Follow direction from, and assist lead educators Comfortable working with medically fragile/high behavior situations Sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process Scoot Education is a thoughtful staffing partner with a mission to help create exceptional experiences in education.
