We work with clients across the United States, with global ambitions in the years ahead.Who You Are:As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Citian, you'll be expanding current projects and innovating new solutions within transportation. You will have at least 5+ years of experience developing and deploying full stack applications. You are willing to work alongside other developers to build Citian's software lineup and complete contracted software solutions. We're looking for a quick learner who is adaptable and has a strong desire to progress through the company.As a self-starter, you are not afraid to take ownership of projects and can handle the challenges that come with a rapidly evolving startup. You are resourceful, innovative, and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency. Your strong communication and collaboration skills enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. If you are passionate about software engineering and are eager to contribute to the success of a startup, we would love to hear from you.Expected Duties:Develop full stack applications, including both front-end and back-end components, web applications, and mobile applicationsCollaborate with other developers through GitLabCommunicate deadlines and needs with other teammatesResearch new solutions to transportation engineering problemsInnovate and brainstorm approaches to solutions through group sessionsImplement modern solutions and deploy production buildsMeet tight deadlinesRequired Skills & Experience:Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field5+ years of software development experience ideally within a startup environmentPortfolio of projects that demonstrate full stack development (web, application, or game development)Experienced in modern web development tools such as Typescript, React, Next.js, NodeJS, ExpressStrong understanding of Computer Science topics such as optimization and algorithmsFamiliar with the design cycle and the concept of horizontal and vertical sliceasUnderstanding of Python/SQL code and ability to retrieve and store data safely through a back-endDemonstrate a deep understanding of creating and maintaining RESTful APIs, with proficiency in tools such as Postman for testing and debugging these interfaces.Experience with cloud services, specifically AWS, and the ability to leverage its features for scalable back-end solutions is highly desired.
