Surgery - Thoracic Physician

Locums - A well respected healthcare system is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for ongoing call coverage in southwestern Pennsylvania

Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Start October 2026 for ongoing need
24-hour shifts; 7a-7a
Minimum of 3-10 days of coverage per month
Typically low overnight call volume with approximately 0-1 admissions per call shift
Inpatient coverage with limited outpatient clinic responsibilities
Responsibilities include inpatient rounding, emergency OR cases, emergency consults, and occasional outpatient follow-up
Structural Heart experience is required
Must be comfortable with CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and related cardiothoracic procedures
EMR Sunrise/Allscripts and eClinical Works
Active PA license or IMLC in hand, ACLS, BLS, DEA, recent case logs
