RN Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse with Emergency Room (ER) experience will provide skilled nursing care across multiple service areas including ER, Inpatient, Swing Bed, Observation Status, and Outpatient therapies. This role requires multitasking abilities and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care in a small critical access hospital setting. Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required, with TNCC preferred. A minimum of two years of experience is essential for this position. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care in the Emergency Room, Inpatient, Swing Bed, Observation, and Outpatient therapy settings.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Manage multiple patient care tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient status effectively.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, including ER experience.
• Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced critical access hospital environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
• Experience with Swing Bed and Observation Status patient care.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Driver's license, car insurance, and automobile for field work if applicable.

Special Considerations:

• Must be able to multitask across multiple patient care areas including ER, inpatient, and outpatient therapies.
• Work environment includes a small critical access hospital setting.
• May require flexibility to cover varied patient care needs and settings.

Scheduling:

• Shift schedules may vary to cover ER, inpatient, swing bed, observation, and outpatient therapy services.
• Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, or holidays as required by hospital staffing needs.
