Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) – Animal Clinic of Benicia PetVet Care Centers’ Animal Clinic of Benicia is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team. The role supports the high‑performing clinic by providing administrative and customer service support, managing appointments, client interactions, and data entry. Position Overview The Care Coordinator performs a range of administrative and customer‑service tasks, supporting the hospital and ensuring a seamless client experience. This role is closely aligned with Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care Specialist, and Customer Service Representative positions. Key Responsibilities Provides excellent customer service in‑person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations. Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments. Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well‑being. Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products. Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts. Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records. Reconciles cash drawer and performs end‑of‑day duties for accurate financial transactions. Qualifications (Required) Applicant is at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience. At least one year of veterinary reception experience. Experience with Cornerstone software. Preferred Skills Supervisory experience. Experience with Cornerstone. Veterinary assisting experience. Schedule Must be available to work some weekends. Option for part‑time opportunities.
