In this role, you will design and develop the next generation software for X-ray imaging and computed tomography (CT) of industrial parts for non-destructive testing (NDT). This position is based at our corporate office in Rogers, MN.What You Will Do:Design, develop and support software for use in X-ray imaging and computed tomographyCreate technical design, implementation and training documentation that describes new software functionality.Use varied development tools including Visual Studio, GitHub, coding agents, issue and task tracking for implementation of software solutions.Communicate new developments and findings to internal/external customers in the form of presentations, technical reports and patent applications.Develop and support software interfaces to a variety of hardware devices: UIs, X-ray detectors, X-ray sources, optical cameras, motion components, robots.Support new and maintaining engineering and planning.Other duties as assigned.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software EngineeringProficient with C++, C# or PythonExperience with Agile software developmentExperience with Machine Learning, tools like Claude/Cursor, PyTorch, TensorFlowSelf-motivated and solid problem-solving abilitiesTeam player - leverage existing code and teammatesFlexible and adaptable to evolving specificationsCustomer-focused with a preference for practical solutionsPreferred Skills:GPU programming3D computer graphics with Robotics and Automated SystemsComputer visionComputed tomographyCompensation Information:Compensation for this position ranges from $68,000 - $84,000 based on education and experience.ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
