Student Literacy Corps School Liaison

Job Summary Coordinate and supervise fieldwork for EDUC 211 Student Literacy Corps. Under the guidance of the District Coordinator, the School Liaison for EDUC 211. Responsibilities Recruit participants for the program each semester. Construct and send letters to parents to recruit participants for the program. Construct and complete individual student intake forms to facilitate matches of tutors and learners. Maintain a waitlist of tutees and notify those on the waitlist when applicable. Create a calendar of ten tutorial sessions with Ramapo College faculty that meet the needs of College students and student participants. Secure instructional space: obtain and maintain a classroom for lecture parts of the class. Obtain technological equipment to support classroom instruction. Prepare security identification cards for Ramapo College students. Obtain and maintain reserved space for tutorials. Collaborate with Ramapo faculty, tutors, and district administrators as needed: Provide daily attendance sheets reflecting attendance during school hours. Collaborate regarding such issues as students with special needs, ESL students, etc. Coordinate changes in the calendar for events such as snow, hurricanes, etc. Send follow‑up letters to tutees who are absent from tutorials. Assess program effectiveness from the perspective of participants: Provide feedback to tutors and faculty from the constituency. Collaborate in an ongoing manner regarding the program. Organisation Security Responsibilities This position requires adherence to the organization’s information security policies and procedures. Individuals in this role are expected to apply appropriate safeguards, participate in required security awareness training, and promptly report potential security incidents in accordance with institutional policies. Education Bachelor’s degree. Experience Works as an employee in a partner district. Part‑time Information Incumbent would be expected to work, in this capacity, approximately 3 hours per week over a 15‑week semester per section of EDUC 211.
