Clinical Psychologist II – Los Angeles County Department of Public Health

Associated Health Professionals, Inc. (AHP) is seeking Clinical Psychologists to work at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health – Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (DPH SAPC) .

We have Clinical Psychologist opportunities, each offering a different area of focus. Two positions are ideal for psychologists interested in clinical services, provider training, and improving SUD programs.

Position Details

• Location: Alhambra, CA – Hybrid / Telework Opportunity
• Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Monday–Friday
• Start Date: As Soon As Possible
• Hours: Start times are flexible between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM
• Assignment Duration: Through June 30, 2027
• Compensation: $2,850/week | Approximately $148,200/year

Requirements

• Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related discipline deemed equivalent by the California Board of Psychology.
• Must hold an active California license to practice as a Psychologist, issued by the California Board of Psychology.

Overview of the position

Clinical Psychologist | Clinical Services / Training

The Clinical Psychologists will apply their clinical expertise to support the development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of substance use disorder (SUD) services throughout the SAPC provider network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and provide clinical training for SAPC staff and providers
• Help ensure SUD services follow evidence-based practices and established clinical standards
• Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to multidisciplinary teams
• Review clinical practices and identify areas where additional training or improvement may be needed
• Conduct literature reviews, clinical research, and chart reviews
• Help develop and evaluate clinical programs, training materials, and educational resources
• Collaborate with providers, administrative teams, and data staff to support quality improvement
• Provide clinical input on SUD treatment standards, policies, procedures, and best practices
• Participate in meetings, committees, and projects related to SUD treatment and quality of care
